  • 1/2 carrot, grated
  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Dipping sauce:

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine cooked rice, cabbage, carrot, spring onions, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Lightly dip one rice paper sheet in warm water until just soft. Lay it flat on a clean surface.
  3. Place a spoonful of filling in the centre, then fold the sides in and roll into a small parcel. Repeat with remaining sheets.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the dumplings for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  5. In a small bowl, mix all dipping sauce ingredients.
  6. Serve dumplings hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
